La Bohème
The staging of the artist in photographs of the 19 and 20 Century
opens (until 9 January 2011). The museum
writes:
. The bohemian is the precursor of the artist's life, it is the preface to the Academy, the hospital or the morgue. "
Thus, the French writer Henri Murger the phenomenon characterized in his 1851 book, Scenes de la Vie de Bohème: a transitional stage, which was provoked by violations of the norms in lifestyle and fascinating. The image of the artist as outsider, who lives in the bourgeois era in romantic poverty, was cheerful and transfigured by Puccini's opera based on Murger's original, fully popularized. Thus, the term has become synonymous with the bohemian artists of the 19th Century, who was exposed to an anonymous market and forced to sell its services to survive. Into the time of the creation of bohemian legend in support of artistic self-consciousness was the invention of photography. How much the attitude of the enigmatic musician, writer, painter and photographer is reflected in photographic productions, this exhibition at the Museum Ludwig.
